Emily in Paris, glamazon

Emily In Paris has captured our hearts the past two seasons on Netflix and we are so ready for the highly anticipated return of the series with the upcoming premiere of season three!  We can’t wait to see all the tres chic looks they will be serving up.

So much story to tell this season: Will Emily and Camille reconcile? Will Mindy’s burgeoning singing career take flight? What will happen in the love triangle with Gabriel, Emily, and Alfie?

The characters’ social lives, soirees, and what they eat, and drink are just another element of what intrigues people and what they want to emulate from the show. Falling in love with the light-hearted storyline and characters is easy, and we couldn’t help but indulge further in the romance of France on the screen.

We’ll be tuning in to watch and throwing a fun French-themed watch party to celebrate! Read on for how to throw an Emily Cooper-inspired Paris-themed soirée.

French Party Menu

It’s all about simple elegance and elevating the ordinary when it comes to planning a French party menu.
Easy Faire to wow your guests without a ton of prep…and we often suggest cutting and prepping the night before so the day of is less stressful and there is more time for your guests.

We are also fans of the partially homemade concept – meaning buy at the store and then embellish with your own special touches or of course when short on time, Trader Joe’s always has a great assortment of frozen apps to quickly heat up and save the day (French onion soup bites, Mini Quiche, Mac & Cheese bites, 5 Cheese Greek Spiral, Creamy Cauliflower Jalapeño Dip, Spinach & Artichoke Dip)

Parisienne Ambiance

Bring the romantic city of lights into your space! Candles and twinkle lights will make you feel like you’re enjoying an evening in Gabriel’s restaurant, Les Deux Compères. For added Parisian flair, put on a French inspired playlist from Spotify, Amazon Music, or Pandora to really set the scene!

Wine & Cocktails

Pop, Fizz, Clink: The Universal Sound Of Happy and the inspiration for Emily’s champagne campaign at Savoir!

French Elegance meets American Appeal with female -founded French sparkling and rosé wines from Le Grand Courtâge. Our Proprietor/CEO has a similar story to Emily as she took the leap as a Francophile at heart, and moved to Paris and Burgundy to follow her passion for food, wine, and travel – even though she too wasn’t fluent in the language. Tawnya Falkner left her real estate/design career in California and moved to France to create affordable luxury wines that embody the French spirit of joie de vivre

Her passion resulted in three award-winning 90+ point wines: sparkling varieties Le Grand Courtâge Blanc de Blancs Brut & Le Grand Courtâge Brut Rosé from the Burgundy region & still, Southern France Provence style Très Chic Rosé, each with their own essence and personality, not unlike the characters in Netflix’s Emily In Paris!

We drew some amazing parallels between our brand and the show, including the personalities of Emily, Mindy, and Camille respective to our three distinct French wines. Read the full blog here and perhaps discover which wine fits your personality!!

Ideal for foolproof food pairings and cocktail mixing, these affordable French wines pair with most anything and make delicious bubbly and rosé cocktails.

Here are two cocktails we created especially for Emily in Paris:

When Tawnya, our founder set out on this journey, she saw a unique opportunity to create an affordable luxury that is timeless and elegant, yet contemporary and relatable. She wanted to personify the French spirit and create something that allows people to treat themselves and revel in that ‘champagne state of mind’.

Le Grand Courtâge, intended to mean, “the great courtship” reflects the journey of life as we navigate and negotiate love and friendships (similar to the show). Our name signifies French and American styles converging and it is a marriage of the old and new world. Like Emily, we are all about Amour and bringing an air of chic sophistication and Haute-ness…

While you might not be in Paris, you can channel your inner Francophile and pretend.  Our wines are perfect for Breakfast to Dessert, and are delicious on their own, as a food pairing, an aperitif &/or for cocktails. For us, it is about maintaining a ‘champagne state of mind’ &/or living through ‘rosé colored glasses, much like Emily and all her friends.
